Ms. Das is the 27th Controller General of Accounts (CGA) for the Government of India&#8217;s Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With effect from October 18, 2021, the Indian government has nominated Ms. Bharati Das, an Indian Civil Accounts Service (ICAS) officer from the 1988 batch, as the Controller General of Accounts (CGA), Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prior to that, Ms. Das held positions as Director of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Principal Chief Controller of Accounts (Pr. CCA) Central Board of Direct Taxes, Principal Chief Controller of Accounts (Pr. CCA) Ministry of External Affairs, Principal Chief Controller of Accounts (Pr. The CGA is in charge of creating and maintaining a technically sound management accounting system as well as preparing and submitting the Union Government&#8217;s accounts.
